I adore the fact that Elena told Damon she loved him over the phone. In 3x22 Elena called Damon and broke both their hearts by choosing Stefan while they were miles apart. This is Elena fixing her mistake, she made the wrong call that night and now she’s made the right one. She called Damon telling him she was driving away from him, now she’s driving towards him.
